I hope you are keeping warm out there in internetland. After a snow day on Friday where I got a few more pieces finished off I thought it was about time I updated here.
It's been a while since I've posted. Lots of things have changed.
1) I have now got a different job - which I started last Monday. It's fixed term at the moment - so it's another wait and see kind of role, but so far - the people are lovely and I'm starting to learn what it is I'm meant to be doing!
2) I have finished my Masters! Yes - it's all printed, bound and submitted. I'm now awaiting the marks - due out in March. It was a challenge to get it all sorted, not least when I believed my computer had some serious issues, but I got there in the end and sent it off on time. Phew! I'm very pleased it's all done.
3) I've decided to cut down on my studies. This led to the depressing decision that my counselling course just wasn't going to get finished - for more than one reason. Consequently I sent an email to withdraw from the course. I'm ambivalent about what I've done as I hate feeling like I'm quitting - but feel that it is the best thing I could have considering all the options. It was not an easy decision to make.
4) I'm considering how to go about making (and indeed selling) more of my work. I don't really do justice to how much I make, nor do I do justice to all the things I have made and then just pile up in boxes for safe keeping! I have a number of lovely lovely things. And they just sit there - waiting for someone to use them! I love the making and I love that the items I do give to people as presents are always much appreciated. And I have more than enough stuff to keep me happy - so... I really need to focus on getting that all sorted so I can create a bit more space!
Headspace-wise it's all been a bit of a kerfuffle this month so far. So I'm hunkering down and taking stock of everything that is going on with me and around me. I'm looking forward to being able to do more crafting now I'm spending less time studying. I just need to make sure I spend all the extra time making and selling, rather than wasting it on computer games or something!
